It is a soluble granule insecticide derived from avermectin. It disrupts insect neurotransmission by enhancing glutamate and GABA signals, leading to paralysis and death. Highly effective against lepidopteran larvae and leaf miners, it shows rapid antifeedant activity within hours and mortality within 2–4 days. Its translaminar movement ensures control of pests feeding on leaf undersides, with strong rainfastness and low residue levels. Compatible with Integrated Pest Management (IPM), it requires careful handling due to toxicity to aquatic life and pollinators.
